The research unit is focused in all aspects of separation science, with emphasis on:

 - liquid chromatography for determination of low weight molecules, nanoparticles and biomolecules;

​

- sample preparation using solid-phase extraction, dialysis and gas diffusion in batch or flow format.

Research for obtaining high-throughput screening (HTS) methods is based on:

​

- miniaturization and downscaling of wet chemistry methods;

- development of field deployable screening test.
